ADMIN/LIFE SKILLS INTERN

  • Description:  The primary purpose of the Admin/Life Skills Intern is to provide administrative support to TGH staff team and to greet guests, answer the phone, and manage emails in the office.  This intern will get to experience many different aspects of the organization: direct services, volunteer engagement, community partnerships, donor relations, etc.  The Life Skills component of the internship will involve one-on-one time with clients working on various goals.

  • Responsibilities:

    • Office Assistant

      • Answering phone, taking messages

      • Forwarding emails

      • Filing receipts and other paperwork

    • Research/Project Assistant

      • Projects from staff

    • Hospitality Coordinator

      • Upkeep of office cleanliness, snacks, drinks, and supplies

      • Greeting/welcoming clients

      • Showing kids to games, books, activities

    • Life Skills Coordinator

      • Research and collect resources and life skills tools for clients

      • Spend time with clients at the office working on Life Skills goals (ie. GED tutoring, job search, apartment search, resume writing, etc.)

  • Qualifications:

    • Currently pursuing a bachelor or graduate degree at an accredited university

    • Superb attention to detail, organized, excellent communication skills

    • Proficiency in Word, Excel and Powerpoint or in Pages, Numbers and Keynote

    • Intern should enjoy working in a collaborative environment and be flexible with new changes

    • Passion and drive to help survivors of human trafficking

    • Conversational Spanish a plus
