Commercial Sexual Exploitation of Children: A Forum on Comprehensive Service Provision for Minor Victims of Human Trafficking in the Greater Richmond Area

July 21st, 2014

This critical forum will focus on the issue of Commercial Sexual Exploitation of Children (CSEC) in Virginia and the role of local agencies in addressing this issue. The forum will feature presentations from local service providers, law enforcement, and professionals with experience in the anti-trafficking field. Additionally, there will be breakout discussions to allow attendees to share and explore how this issue affects those whom they serve and how their agencies can respond. The goal of the forum is for attendees to walk away with a better understanding of what CSEC looks like in the Greater Richmond area and how to better identify and care for victims of human trafficking. This is the beginning of an ongoing conversation how the metro Richmond community can collaborate to effectively identify and serve minor victims of human trafficking.
